Setup Guide
- Open the Low Battery Alert app
- Configure your preferred alarm settings (sounds, thresholds, etc.)
- Tap "Setup Instructions" for detailed Shortcuts automation setup
- Test the alarm using the "Test Alarm Escalation" button

Q: Why isn't the alarm triggering automatically?
A: Make sure you've set up the Shortcuts automation correctly:
- Open Shortcuts app → Automation tab
- Battery Level trigger set to "Falls Below" 20%
- "Ask Before Running" is turned OFF
- The "Trigger Low Battery Alert" action is added
Q: Can I test the alarm without draining my battery?
A: Yes! Open the app and tap "Test Alarm Escalation" to see the full alarm sequence.
Q: How do I stop the alarm?
A: When the alarm triggers, you'll see a full-screen overlay with two buttons:
- Dismiss - Stops the alarm completely
- Snooze 5 min - Pauses for 5 minutes, then restarts
Q: What are the escalation levels?
A:
- Level 0 (0s): Silent notification
- Level 1 (+10s): Short beep + vibration
- Level 2 (+15s): Multiple beeps + vibration
- Level 3 (+20s): Loud spoken warning + vibration (repeats)
Q: Can I customize the alarm sounds?
A: Yes! Open the app and choose from Emergency, Alert, Bell, Chime, or Horn sounds in the settings.
Q: Does the alarm work when the app is closed?
A: Yes! Once you set up the Shortcuts automation, it works even when the app is closed or in the background.
Q: Will this drain my battery faster?
A: No! The app uses iOS Shortcuts automation which is extremely battery-efficient. The alarm only activates when your battery is already low.
Q: Can I set different alarms for different battery levels?
A: Yes! Create multiple Shortcuts automations with different battery thresholds (20%, 15%, 10%, 5%).
