Overview

Ducktor is committed to protecting your privacy. This app processes speech locally on your device and does not transmit audio or transcripts to external servers.

Data Collection

We collect ZERO data.

• No personal information
• No usage analytics
• No tracking
• No third-party services
• No advertising

Speech Recognition

Ducktor uses Apple's Speech framework for speech recognition. Depending on your device and settings:

• On-device recognition: Audio is processed entirely on your device and never leaves it
• Server-based recognition: Some languages may use Apple's servers for processing, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy

Ducktor itself does not collect, store, or transmit any audio data.

Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device:

• Transcripts are saved in your local Documents folder
• Settings and preferences use iOS/macOS UserDefaults
• No data is transmitted to any servers
• Data is deleted when you uninstall the app

Companion Service (Optional)

Ducktor can optionally connect to a companion service on your local network for Claude Code integration. This connection:

• Only activates when you explicitly configure it
• Communicates only on your local network
• Does not send data to any external servers

Permissions

The app requests the following permissions:

• Microphone: Required for speech recognition
• Speech Recognition: Required to convert speech to text
• Local Network: Optional, for companion service connectivity

All permissions are used exclusively for app functionality.

Third-Party Services

Ducktor does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Children's Privacy

Our app does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page. Since we don't collect any data, any changes will only further protect your privacy.
